Terms of Service

Agreement

These terms govern your use of svalalabs.com and the Svala Labs product (the "Service"), operated by Svala Labs, reachable at info@svalalabs.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

What the Service is

Svala Labs generates a personalised, day-by-day readiness plan to help you prepare for a new job — reading, practice exercises, an AI tutor, and related tools — built from the role, employer and start date you provide. The Service is in active development (currently a friends beta); features, plan content and pricing may change as it matures.

Accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• You're responsible for keeping your account (sign-in email, or the Google account you connect) secure, and for the accuracy of what you tell us.
• One free plan per account, per our current pricing (see /pricing) — free and paid ("Pro") tiers, and what each includes, are described there and may change with notice.

Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to:

• Break the law, or violate anyone else's rights.
• Attempt to access another user's data, bypass usage limits, or interfere with the Service's operation (including automated scraping or excessive requests).
• Upload or submit content you don't have the right to share.
• Use company or employer names to imply affiliation with or endorsement by that company — Svala Labs references employer names only to describe what you're preparing for, and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any employer referenced in your plan.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

AI-generated content

Plan content, practice material, and AI tutor responses are generated with the help of AI models and are clearly labelled as such. They're intended to help you prepare — they are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or tailored advice, and shouldn't be treated as professional, legal, or employment advice. Use your own judgment, and verify anything important (e.g. company-specific facts) independently.

Your content

You keep ownership of anything you submit to the Service (job details, messages to the tutor, and similar). You grant us the limited right to process it in order to run the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We don't claim ownership of your content and don't use it to train third-party models beyond what's needed to generate your own responses.

Subscriptions and payments

Paid ("Pro") plans are not yet available. When they launch, this section will describe pricing, billing cadence, how to cancel, and your statutory withdrawal rights as an EU consumer — cancellation will be at least as easy as signing up, and any waiver of your 14-day withdrawal right will only apply where you've expressly consented to immediate delivery of digital content, as EU consumer law requires.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service reliably available but don't guarantee uninterrupted access — it may be unavailable for maintenance or due to factors outside our control. We may add, change, or remove features as the product develops; we'll try to give notice of changes that materially reduce what's included in your plan.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, Svala Labs isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't lawfully be limited (for example, liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence).

Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see /account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Nothing here affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer under EU/Swedish consumer protection law, including the right to bring a claim in your own country of residence.

Changes to these terms

We'll update the date at the top of this page when these terms change, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you directly.
